this thread is probably going to be met with jeers and flames, but let me explain what i'm thinking about doing with the car.

i'd like to lower it without tricking sensors (skipper's link setup) or using the data system controller, since i'll be lowering more than what other people have been doing on the forum and i like to ride on coilovers.

my understanding is that on the ucf31, coilovers bolt into the original mounting positions and you can pull a fuse to disable to air compressor without any issues, codes, or warnings.

i'm just wondering if anyone has done the research on the ls460/600 yet. i'm aware that VIP auto salon has replaced the factory air suspension on their ls600hl demo car with an aftermarket universal air setup; any thoughts on how they did that?

ask rominl . he knows it all. How low do you want to go. I have seen what the data systems module will do and it seems slammed to me

it's an adjustable link for the height sensors on the car. you can lengthen and shorten it to trick the car into thinking it's higher or lower

 

i've seen photos too, and it does go pretty low, but i'd like to be able to drive the car at the super slammed height shown in some of the pics. i'd imagine the stock suspension is too soft to roll that low

 

I can tuck the wheels on my car all the way to the lip of the rim. the only reason the rear doesnt go any lower is because the tires actually sit on the liner in the rear. Im not sure if you'd be able to drive it that way unless you took the liner off. Im pretty sure that if it wasnt for that, the car would go lower. The front doesnt touch anything but I think that its pretty low as is. I'd hate to drive my car that low even if I could thought. There are a lot of expensive parts under there.

BTW, I have a datasystem set to superlow mode.

 

looks good -- i'd like to drive the car at least that low. anyway, it looks like it can be done. mode parfume's demo car has tanabe coilovers + roberuta on it -- i just need to find out if there are any additional steps to changing out the physical shock/bag

 

Take it all out and send it to me, I will figure out a way to put your old air suspension system into my LS.

I'd say get the lowering module and take out the liner in the wheelwells. That was on 9 but I've driven the car on 7. It looks just as low but barely clears the wheelwell. Didnt want to continue driving it like that since I didnt want to hit anything with the underside. It rode pretty good and was nice and firm.
