Heat coming from rear floor vents while dash temp cooler
After two long road trips, my son has complained that it's too hot in the car.....he's a back seat rider. 30's outside and inside temp set to 73. Up front feels fine...cooler air from the dash vents but after I crawled in the back for a break from driving, I also found it hotter in the rear of the car due to hot air from the floor vents under the front seats. The center rear console vents and pilar vents felt like the dash temp but very little air was coming from them since the car was maintaining the cabin temp. I also keep the system set to auto. I did not try to turn up the fan setting in order to blow more air thru the dash vents since the front of the car was fine. I actually had to turn on the rear seat coolers to stay somewhat comfortable.
I don't know if heat is generated for the floor vents to blend the temp in the car and the back seat riders will get the brunt of it or if heat is being generated from the under carriage.
At this point, I am glad to be the driver 95% of the time.

This probably is not the answer but just in case. I have heard that the use of the front seat cooling (which apparently uses solid-state components) will push heat out under the seat into the back.

I don't have my LS yet, maybe in a few days, but I'm wondering if you have the cold weather package with the Enhanced Interior Heater. If you do, maybe it's a supplemental electric heater for rear passengers. If that's it and it's a problem, maybe it can be disconnected.
Can't wait to get some actual experience with my new 460L.
