Default Dash and defrost vents still blow when only floor vents are selected? wth?

Noticed yesterday that if I put the vent selection on just floor, I still get a good breeze from the defroster and dash vents. Doesn't matter if the A/C is on or if its on vent or re-circulate. Is that normal? My G didn't do that. If you selected floor only that's all you got.

yeah...thats normal. The amount of air shouldnt be all that much tho. I actually like the setup, as it means I dont have to keep switching modes. Having said that, I set the vent modes to automatic, so it varies the output depending on various factors e.g. cabin temp, outside temp, and chosen temp.

Have a look at the owner's manual for more info.

I love that feature... because even when I push "OFF"... there's a tiny output, which keeps the car slightly ventilated but without all airflow.

i think that is because air is still coming in from the outside. if you set your air vents to recirculate, air doesn't come in the cabin anymore

It does. It even says it does in the owners manual. No matter what setting you put it in, whether it be 'floor', 'floor/vent', 'defrost'... all of the outputs will have a tiny airflow. even in the 'off' selection. Love it.
