Tanabe lowering Spring for LS460
First time user...
I got LS460 want to do custom work on it.. First Planing to Lower it by 1.5" front and Rear 0.8". My question is by lowering this high end car would effect the suspension or performance for the car,.. Wondering if you guyz out there had done this, Please give me some feedback..
thanks
ps.. Just got the recall letter from Lexus too, Valve Spring recall..
IS it a major problem, ??? Damn

It will get to the low job you want but I simply don't recommend a $80k car rolling on $200 springs.
You also will run into severe tire wearing unless you got some custom tie rods covered in your lowering project.

I am looking to buy an 07 LS460 this week and am also looking for suspension options. I did a little research tonight and came up with these options for the LS460
1. Megan Racing coilovers : two models. One for around $700 and the other around $1200
2. JIC Magic: $2000-2200
3. Tanabe NF210 springs: $300-350
4. BC Racing BR Coilovers :$1000-1100
I have a set of Tein CST coilovers with the EDFC and have been very happy with the set up. I am disappointed that Tein doesn't make a set of the LS460. I am tempted to go with the JIC Magic set up but they seem a bit pricey but the the others seem a bit cheaper than what I am used to. The Tanabe springs seem like a tempting option because of the price and conservative drop but been there done that. I think I am a coilover guy from now on. I have had Tanabe springs on my G35 and Tein on my GS350 and both sagged after a year or so. I guess you could just have the tech switch the left and right springs after a year when the left side starts to sag but for the price of the headache and repeated labor the coilovers are probably the best
WOOHHOOO. I pulled the trigger. Loving this new ride
