Default Wotup folks!

New to the forum, and to Lexus. I'm thinking about getting a 08 or 09 LS. Could you guys please give me the highs and lows of both of these vehicles. I've read all the reviews, and seen all the reviews, but I want to hear from the folks driving them everyday. I'm leaning more towards the '09, simply b/c it looks like you can adjust the suspension. But if I can find an '08 with low miles I may have to jump on it. Thanks for the help.

08-09 doesn't have difference in suspension. for normal springs/shocks, they have avs i believe. otherwise they have the air suspension.

The only major difference between an '08 & an '09 LS460's is that the '09 isn't included in Lexus valve spring recall if it is something you don't want to do/be done on your potential car.

Another small difference is the passenger seat memory buttons that is available on the '09 onward.

The only other difference I can think of is the 09 will have a later version of the nav system. I don't remember which year dropped the "I agree" screen.

Is that when they started using Eclipse's nav? I have an Eclipse h/u in my current vehicle. The nav screen in the LS/GS is identical to mine. Someone told me a few months ago, that Eclipse signed a contract with Lexus/Toyota. I would assume it's true.

I also thought you could adjust the ride on the 09's. I.E. comfort/normal/sport. Do the 08's have that option?

07 08 both have those options. i think you either have avs or air suspension allowing those adjustment. can't remember if avs is an option or standard equipment, but it's hard to imagine a ls460 without avs
