Valve Spring Replacement (notice received)
Just visited the dealer yesterday regarding the recall. Told that Lexus is in the process of sending notices, as I hadn't received one. Tech guy says they are doing the repair in 1-1/2 days, taking in one car a day. Put me one the list to be notified when I will be scheduled, but may be a couple of months due to the sheer volume of cars recalled. I'm having no problems now so I'm not concerned.
1 1/2 - 2 days is about right. I work at a dealer and they have been taking me about that time. We are definitely getting bogged down by these campaigns, not surprised they would schedule you a month or so out. Good luck.

Ive been with Lexus the whole time. Been busy with school and other life stuff. Hopefully Ill be posting more, I see some other techs have gotten on here since Ive been on.
Where do you stand? Have you had the recall done?

No, and I'm really loathe to have it done. I would much prefer that Lexus warrant the springs for the life of the car and I'll have it done if I ever have a problem.
To me this is the ulimate if-it-ain't-broke-don't-fix-it situation.

If I was driving one of these cars I might be right there with you. When we got trained on them I was pretty surprised how involved it was. Theres a lot going on with that 4.6 V8.

This recall has the feeling of your doc telling you need open heart surgery, it is little room for error based on the PDF I saw along with your input. No one wants their car that is running great (for now) to end up not running like it use too or have constant issues due to the work performed. I wish this campaign was a simple fix so it would not be a big deal to get done, right now I'm in the "Ulimate if-it-ain't-broke-don't-fix-it club" with Nospinzone.
LOL next weekend I traded her 07 Rx350 for a 2011 QX56.

Yeah, that's one way to look at it. I'm usually a 'glass-half-full' kinda guy but this would keep nagging at me every mile I drove it. Like if on a x-country trip and always waiting for the other shoe to drop.
You have a good reason to think it will fail. Now do you have it fixed at your leisure with a local dealer near home or do you wait for it to crap out on a long trip just leaving Frogwhistle, MS?
