Default 2010 ls460 HDD

Is it possible to get, or to add hard disc drive to 2010 ls460 with Mark Levinson to record cd's to, the way it was in 07,08,& 09. I'm under the impression it's been discontinued for 2010. Was it a separate piece that I could order for one of the earlier years and install into a 2010.

I wasn't aware that feature had been dropped for 2010, but I think you're correct. Some features have been added though, Ipod control and MP3 input.

In any case the feature is built into the nav system of the 2007-2009 models, it used the same hard drive as the nav, so it's not something that could be added on.

OTOH, if you can just plug in a memory stick with MP3s on it, then I'm not sure how much you'd need the built-in rip capability.

Thank You, sorry not familiar with ipod,mp3 or memory stick. Could you explain and since I don't have any of them which would give me the very best sound.

You will get the best sound from a store bought CD or a high bitrate mp3/wma file. Since mp3/wma are compressed audio, CD will be your best bet.

You should check this link out: http://www.lexus.com/models/LS/featu..._features.html

And to answer your original question, the 2010 audio is not backwards compatible to the previous. They are two totally different systems.
