2008 LS460 Exhaust?
I've browsed around the forums and noticed that most of the LS460s are modified with wheels and suspension. I haven't seen too many people talking about exhaust, intake or any other small modifications. Anyone know who makes parts for these cars? I haven't been able to find an exhaust or anything anywhere, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
I pm'ed Joe Z, no reply yet. Ing's can be bought for around $1500 shipped from Osaka...around November 2009. Still not quite sure what the LS would actually sound like with either exhaust.
I wanted to hear that beautiful motor breath and get a more aggressive sound on my 460, so I went to a local Specialty Shop that does Wheels, Tires and Custom Exhaust work. We simply cut the OEM Mufflers and put some aftermarket Stainless Magnaflows on, while retaining the OEM Vibration Dampers. That being we welded them on in the same original location on the can. To allow for some additional breathing on the OEM Air Box, I put in the High Flow K&N's and the car sounds great.
It's been about a year now, and the car feels like it delivers a mild bit of additional Torque/HP, but it may be the power of suggestion, as I have not been able to do a Re-Map of the ECU or any additional measures yet, to utilize the aditonal air/fuel flow that the OEM ECU will allow when it senses the reduced back pressure. The car sounds throaty without being overly noisy at speed. Draws a lot of looks when I Idle by, or at speed.
I am happy with the solution and it cost about $$500.00 to do the swap. Jim

Now my Rear Wald Faber Bumper is starting to melt lOl, I took it for repainting again. The flow keeps going up , i still dont know what to do with it. Extend the exhaust in a way or another to make the flow go downwards.
lOl, Anyone with the same issue ?
