Default Installing springs, help removing rear seats

I'm trying to help my brother install a set of Tanabe springs on his LS460. Got the fronts on, but can't seem to locate the upper mounts. I'm pretty sure its behind the rear seats. Can someone clarify this and tell me how to remove the rear seats? I removed 2 bolts on the bottom of the seat, but still can't seem to get it off.

Any help is appreciated.

on some 4 door cars, you have to bend the top edge of the seat to access the bolts, or pull off the door sill trim and the side panel to access bolts...I believe on my bros ls430 we had to remove the bottom portion of the seat also...

i still remember that day , it was a nightmare but the mechanic working on my car managed to do so. It took 5 hrs. LOL.

There is an opening between the rear speakers and the rear seat. From there i think there are 2 bolts. If i were you i would start from there.

Im taking it to a lexus dealer to save my self the headache...but I know I can do it on my own too. Did you guys had to cut the rubber on the top when installing the springs or not?

Tommy at MusicBox did the install. The rear seats have to come out. The bottom cushion is first removed en bloc, then the rear seat backs, being mindful to declip the center pass thru door as well as unbolting the lower seat belt mounts. After this is accomplished the upper mounts are accessible. Even in a very hot 100 degree day, Tommy had all four springs installed in 45 minutes.

I too, have had the same problem. Removed the bolts on the bottom of the rear seat cushion, and the one near the center pass through, but the seat still won't slide up....any help?

Yup it is a lot of work. I remember when my tech at the dealer installed mine, it was the 1st the dealer ever did and being that it was a brand new car he really took his time. I believe it took him about 5hrs as well. Somethings I leave for the pros
