Question How do you record individual tracks on a CD?

I have been loading CDs into my 460 audio system. The problem is that I only want to enter maybe 4 tracks from a CD... However, I find myself recording the entire CD and then going back and selectively deleting the tracks I don't want ... Is there a way to only record the selected tracks you want when you record the CD?

After inserting a CD you wish to record, but before you begin recording, go into REC SETTINGS, and make sure the Auto REC is set to OFF. Within the same menu, your recording quality can also be set to Excellent (256 kbps) or Good (128 kbps), although the former compression rate will result in a lower number of songs on the HDD, so that's a personal choice you have to determine.

Insert your CD and hit REC; a menu follows. You can either choose individual songs at this point on the screen, or press Select All, or Select None. This last choice is somewhat redundant but allows you to cancel wholesale selections. After this, press OK, and the HDD will record either your selections, or all the tracks on the CD.

Good Luck!

I guess the latter choice helps you when you select all the songs and you change your mind and want just to select one or two individual songs instead of the whole list.
So in this case you would just Select None and select the individual songs you want to select.

You never know when you're going to need it, so it's good to have it .
