this is a concept the founders set themselves up for failure. anyone who's techie needing web connection in their car will obviously know how to get the web connection without using this. people who would need this probably don't need internet and will cancel after a few months.
There are so many Wifi hot spots around town - Starbucks & Safeway for starters, that accessing the Internet on the fly with whatever costs would be associated with it would seem redundant if not superfluous. But if money is no object, then all the power...
Interesting, internet in your car? A different alternative would be just having a smartphone e.g. iPhone with web access...
Your right about the iphone as they use the same 3g. The concept here is that you can have many users in the car with netbooks or iphones all doing what they want and have the internet experience. iphone is to small to compete with a netbook. This certainly is better than watching a DVD on your NAV screen.
"anyone who's techie needing web connection" WAT ?
GM just made this an option in the CTS. I think it's $500 installed by the dealer with plans starting at around $30 for 1 GB of data. Wonder how fast the DL speeds are?
