Definitely like the clean front look...it looked great on the 2ES for instance. But you may get fix-it tickets.

If I had my druthers I wouldn't have the front plate, but I really don't mind the look of it.

Here in Taxachusetts the police are the least of your problems, its the meter maids that will nail you day after day!

I'm new to the forum found a lot of good tips and knowledgeable people on board. Glad to see there is a lot of support. Bought a pre-owned, LS460 swb, silver, that already had the front bumper drilled. 2 holes for the Lexus plate Bracket and 2 more for the dealer's ad plate. Has anyone had the holes filled,& painted? If so how much?

I'm nervous about having it filled and painted and it not matching well and costing a fortune. I'm thinking of a chrome Lexus plate with the raised 3d "LEXUS" name on it. Cheapest I found with shipping was $55 or $60 at a dealer with no wait. Or what are the other options?

Sorry for the long message. Any tips would be really appreciated.

The holes could be filled and painted, but to have it done well will cost you a lot more than a nice Lexus license plate frame. I would go that route, but than as I said I don't mind the look of it anyway.

Oh, and welcome to the forum, don't be a stranger!

Yeah - I don't think I'd go through the trouble of filling it since if you get a ticket you might decide to put the front plate back on.

uhh.. why bother asking to drill the whole if you've been looking for an undrilled LS the entire time? If you end up deciding to drill it, your efforts on looking for an undrilled LS would have been wasted..

Wouldn't you say?

Just my two cents..

btw.. you can always add this..

Swift Motorized License Plate

and personally, I think the plate looks pretty good on the LS460, unlike other cars..

Thanks for the replies... you guys are on top of your game.
Nospinzone: I decided to go the vanity plate route. You're right the painting would probably cost way too much compared to the plate. I went to the dealer and paid $70 for the plate with a frame (A mini plate was $99 go figure). However, I wonder if it looks too gowdy, probably just have to get use to it

terrain: fortunately here in PA only one plate is required. (on the back)

phoenix DD: We bought the car already drilled with holes, I agree that plates on the front don't look bad, however PA only issues one plate. I just have to get use to the vanity plate look i guess..

-thanks for your help. I'll post a picture once i find the charger for the camera.

First time I saw the lexus "Bling" plate it reminded me of MR T's kuckle rings... If you don't/can't get used to it I'm sure you can alwasy get rid of it on ebay etc...
