Default 460L Paintable Front Grill

I was thinking this would make the car look "tough" ... I want to have the front grill of my 460L painted to match the color of the car (Black).

A couple of the local body shops wouldn't paint the OEM chrome grill, as they couldn't guarantee the paint would bond to something that was previously chromed.

Any thoughts on where to get an OEM grill that isn't chromed ??

all they have to do is sandblast the grille and then shoot it with paint.

I've done it on 3 cars so far and they are all holding up well.

this guy did it! https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=364601

Not a bad look. I'd like to see it on the LS, however I would keep the entire Lexus symbol chrome (ie: including the ring). Don't like the smoked headlight covers though.

Black looks great on grill thou leaving the Lexus emblem Crome looks maybe even better

Question is has anyone done this with a white LS? I have a white LS Sport that I'm considering painting the black grill to match paint color...metallic white ..leaving emblem Crome

Would love to see example of white. All I see is blacked out

chrome emblem would have left some contrast eitherway its look good color matched. dont wheels are sick as well. great example of a ls that has been tastefully modded.

LOL havent you guys heard of plastidip?? its less than 10$ for the can, and if you dont like it you can remove it in 5 minutes. DIY would probably take under 30 minutes.

I think on a white LS the center part of the grill blacked out with the chrome trim and chrome emblem left in place would be HOT! I want to do this but am waiting to see if someone beats me to it so I can check it.
