Default compartment in the trunk

How should I fix a compartment inside the trunk to place few objects to prevent them from shifting.

The only thing that comes to mind is to go to a body shop and try to design fixture by drilling to the spare tire cover and design a partition that attach to the fixtures.

any ideas

Best regards

Doesnt your car have a cargo net? Actually the LS comes with 2 nets. Are they not sufficient? Why would you even consider drilling the sapre cover??

I did not see any net.

Where they are placed?

As a matter of fact I don't recall lifting the spare tire cover and I have the car for more than a year now.

thnx

It's mentioned in p. 453 of the manual. Sometimes the net is still in its packaging on the side of the trunk somewhere, just need to install it..takes a second.

The nets were a dealer installable option in 2007. My dealer installed them whether you wanted it or not.

In addition to the net, I use a cargo organizer in each of my cars. It's really useful.

Smile Trunk Compartment Items

Go to the hardware store and buy Velcro (they come in very large pieces. Secure the items with the velcro. I used it to secure my Owner's Manual and another folder that holds the service receipts.

That looks great. My only concern would be how you keep it from rolling around in the trunk when you turn a corner, etc.

The little cubby areas behind the wheelwells is where I like to stow stuff, since it's out of the way if I load luggage or other stuff in the trunk. I'd love to either have the nets cover only that area, or have some way to secure something like your organizer in those little corners.
