Default Forgot how smooth this car is

Took of my 22's today and put my 18" Telios rims back on.......Man is this ride smooth! I have not had much luck with 22's in Chi Town, I think I will be selling my 22's and air controller soon. My car has to go back in the shop after someone hit it this past Friday.

A smidge off-topic, but that picture gives me chills ... I came within an inch of being rear-ended yesterday, and I watched helplessly in the rearview mirror as the guy slid to a stop behind me. I had stopped quickly in a line of traffic and had nowhere to go, and this guy didn't realize we were stopped until it was almost too late.

It was so close that when we got to our destination, I went around to the back to see if he had really missed me. And then I went to the bathroom ...

You're not young, Henry - you're just numb.

Mike....I had someone pull out in front of me just this morning from a side street and how I missed them I don't know....I must say, the LS did mighty fine in a quick swerve maneuver....still not sure how we didn't hit. Crazy folks everywhere.

Scary, isn't it? The guy who almost plowed into me was in a PT Cruiser, and he actually locked up the brakes (no ABS?). I heard the tires squealing as he slid toward me. His grille went completely out of sight behind my trunklid before he got stopped.

My mother-in-law was in the car, and she never said a word about the involuntary curse word I uttered.

It might have more do to with the bad roads here in Chicago, 22's ride pretty good when I hit a smooth section. The roads here are pretty bumpy especially after the winter.

No problem, he was probably just trying to enter a new destination on his nav, or trying to look up a new phone number, or trying to find the nearest Chineese restaurant, or watching I Am Legend, or ...... well whatever, its just that driving his vehicle wasn't his first priority. Get used to it, its only going to get worse.

Must be something in the air last Thursday ( 2 days after getting my car back from getting the body kit and the wheels put back on for summer ) I am driving in downtown philly and the car in front of me swerved to miss a piece of concrete, which the city conveniently left on the road as they were doing work. Anyway, he wound up hitting it and when I swerved to miss it, I hit it with my rear tire, and the car behind me hit it dead on. Here's the best part, it had three pieces of rebarb hanging out of the side. The car in front of me had damage to hid rear bumper. I had damage to my left rear wheel and the skirt from the new body kit and the car behind me had to be towed as the whole mess got tangled up in his front wheel, which was mangled to say the least. So, long story short, after waiting to put my new rims and tires on, along with the new body kit. The rim is on its way back to California to be replaced. My car will go back into the body shop and two other cars were affected as well, while the city's construction guys stood around and thought the whole thing was funny. Luckily, nobody was hurt!

That's a nasty bump. Have you got an estimate on it yet? Just wondering what a dent like that will cost to repair, or do they just replace the plastic bumper?

I got 2 so far, a little over 1K to replace the bumper and a +$600 to repaint it.

I hate PA roads especially 76. I cringe every time I go into Philly.
