Front row at the valet parking
Went to a private "preview" party tonight at a new haute cuisine restaurant opening later this week in the Dallas Arts District. All stuffed shirts and hors-d'oeuvres, of course, and valet parking by men in suits.
The big LS, all freshly-washed and resplendent in its Smoky Granite glory, got a front-row seat, along with a BMW 6-series, a 7-series and an S-class M-B. The riff-raff got shuttled off to the off-site parking area.
Let 'em eat cake! Hahahaha!

Actually, I don't know how the restaurant will pan out - all they served us was finger food and adult beverages, but the guy running the show comes from a high-end dinner club at the Anatole Hotel and I figure it will be nice.
Too chic and trendy for this country boy, though. I mean, how much stuffed Russian potatoes with caviar, cucumber and shrimp tartlets, and mozzarella-crusted prosciutto with pesto on toasted melba rounds can you eat before your body cries out for a bacon cheeseburger?

One bad thing about living in LA, it's difficult getting these prime spots when valet parking while dining out in Beverly Hills. These spots are usually occupied by exotics
