i have a new ls460 with 10k miles on it. the rear bumper fell off going about 30mph.
has anyone else heard of this.
no accident ,no scratches.just fell off.
i have been a lexus customer for over 15 years . i get 2 new ones every 3 years. i have never had any major problems before. scary !!!
it fell off in one piece, not torn or anything? front or rear?
the bumper (front and back) is held on to the car through a lot of clips and tons of screws, both at the top and at the bottom. some of the screws are even sort of "hidden". it's not an easy object to just fall off the car. i would look at all the locations where there are supposed to be screws and see if they are torn or not.
That is odd for a bumper to fall offUnless someone was in the process of removing (stealing)the bumper and removed all the clips and you happened to buy that car is the only thing i can come up with.

doesn't sound right
Yep, I'd say pictures of that would be interesting, or maybe a work order from the dealer who is (supposedly) fixing it.
Bumper fell off? Sorry, but that's a little too much to swallow.

This sound funny. If all the bolts/clips were off. He should have been able to tell something was wrong. The fit between the bumper and the body would be a out of whack. I smell BS. Or am I the only person that walks around their car to make sure their isn't any damage.
