Default No mud flaps available for 2008 LS-460??

I'm purchasing an '08 LS-460 tomorrow, and I just called my dealer's parts department today and found out that Lexus does not offer mud flaps for the LS-460. I'm stunned! For every car I've purchased in the past, I always get the mud flaps to protect my cars from rocks flying up and chipping my paint and also tar from the road flying up and sticking to my paint.
I'm totally bummed.
Can anyone reccomend an after-market brand that will custom fit the LS-460?
Thanks!

I ordered some and they are on backorder. Does anyone have a story to share on how easy they are to put on? Do they come with instructions or a template? Are the holes already there with plugs in place or is drilling required?

Thanks in advance. I agree they not only serve a purpose, but do add to the lines of the car. Looking forward to them.

Thumbs up

Hey Smileman,

I ordered mine from Carson Lexus back when I got my car. They have to be ordered through Lexus-Japan and take 10 weeks to arrive. They come prepainted to match your car, BUT do not come with any instructions. I found out the hard way since it came with so many screws, nuts and bolts. I naturally used the wrong screw on one of them, but figured out that all I needed to do was just remove the screw on the car and re-use what I removed. My dealer removed the wrong screw for me (of course I stripped the screw trying to remove it) and replaced it at no charge. Long story short, I love the look of the car with the mud guards.

Yes basically I am curious as to whether they are somewhat self positioning because of the general shape, or whether you have to measure and align to make sure they are in the right place. I understand there is drilling for teh rear ones, but not for the front?

And someone said there were multiple fasteners that came with the kit and thought someone would share which fasteners should be used and how. Learning from you all is great.
