I Just Factory Ordered a 2008 LS460L Exec. Package . . .
I always thought it's an absolutely gorgeous paint to look at in person, especially under the sun. Yes I understand some might wonder whether red paint is the most suitable color on a car this size, I've wondered about that myself, & had at one time dropped it from consideration. But after I saw a couple times a LS460 SWB in Noble Spinel near where I live, I was reminded again why I like it so much, that why I'm considering it again.

I've never saw a Noble Spinel in LWB in person, but here's a picture of a LS460L, I actually think it looks really good
:
I personally don't really like white for the LS460 although the paint is nice, & I absolutely have zero interest in silver. The Verdigris is not for me either.
The paint has a slightly brownish hue but are not easy to see unless under certain lighting conditions.

As to the color choice, I checked the Lexus web site but couldn't find a "Truffle" color....although Henry says he has seen it. If it were my car, I'd order it first White (Starfire) Pearl, second Noble Spinel, and third Black Sapphire, which is actually a dark blue. IMO you can't go wrong with either the White Pearl or the Noble Spinel (although, unfortunately, the even more gorgeous Matador Red is not offered on the LS).
but of course, you know my preference and i am on the conservative side

Have you seen the movie TAXI ? (with Queen Latifa & Jimmy Fallon), there's a 7-series in that movie with I think an even brighter red & I think it looks attractive, & I normally don't even care for the 7-series . . .
You are thinking of replacing your GX with a LS460 ?Is Noble Spinel one of your favorite color for the LS or just the one you like best out of the three I listed in my OP ?

I think I've read you want the black leather somewhere before, but want the gray wood, so is thinking of the possibility of swapping with someone right ? I think swapping might have a problem though unless you want a gray steering wheel to go with your black dash & leather.

Ooops, I had a brain fart when I put down noble spinel.

Forgot that it was the reddish color. Since you mention the red 7 in Taxi, it's a lot brighter. The noble spinel is a little darker, almost burgandy.
Not my choice personally.
Out of your list I would pick the black sapphire. Me personally, I would go for the coffin/tombstone look=black on black since I never had a black car before
As much as I like the greywood, I like the black leather more.Besides, it's cheaper to restain the regular wood

Yeah, the grey steering will look stupid with the black steering wheel
Black Saphire Pearl looks like a very dark blue from the sample in the brochure. I guess this is a close is it is to Navy for now. Has anyone seen how this looks on an actual car?
