Default Replace Wheels without the TPMS sensors???

I have had sports cars and luxury sedans my whole life. None have ever had the any sort of tire pressure monitoring. I am considering buying 19 inch wheels without the TPMS. Has anyone done so? Will the dash go crazy and tell me that I have an error etc??? The reason is that it will be expensive and I will also have to go to Lexus for calibration... Then they can void my warranty etc... Anyone with experience, please share.

Nate

Just ask Lexus to turn off your TPMS system. There are no warranty issues that I can think of that would prevent you from suppressing the display of this information in your car.

If you get the wheels from Tirerack they can install Toyota TPMS. It sounds like it comes from the Camry based on their part number. This is what they say the sensor system includes:
CAMRY1 $344.00 for a quantity of 4

CAMRYNUT
$26.00 for a quantity of 4

Total Price: $370.00

Is there calibration with this also or is this what they are doing? Any other considerations? Finally, is the Camry sensor the same as the LS?

The TPMS is a nice option to have (hard to live without once you have it like a cell phone! lol)

Most wheels accept the TPS, just swap them over.

I put 22's that would not allow the sensors because they are to large to put on a 25 series tire( if you drove with them it would have crushed the sensor), so they banded them inside the wheel and they work fine.

you have to buy sensors
other wise the tire pressure seystem will give checking message for few days
then it will give a message to go back to your dealler to check the system it self
