Default 19s on a reg LS460???

Hi All,

I am sure this has been asked quite a bit however I am not that good with the internet so I thought I would post. I have a 2007 LS460 with the standard (and boring in my opinion) wheels. I would like to upgrade to 19s but I mentioned it to my dealer and they had a canary saying that the traction control etc.. will go nuts. If I use the same circumfrence/diameter, wouldn't this not matter? Has anyone gone with 19s? Can you advise how you made out? Posting pics would be an added bonus. I noticed that Tire Rack FINALLY has the picture of the LS460 so you can see what wheels would look like on your car!

Thanks in advance for any help.

i shifted to 22' wheels without any problems, so i think you can shift to 19' easly.
but my advice is to go for 20' to feel the difference.

a lot of people go larger, even 20s or 22s. as long as diameter is fine, it's ok

Default Replace Wheels without TPMS on my LS460???

I have had sports cars and luxury sedans my whole life. None have ever had the any sort of tire pressure monitoring. I am considering buying 19 inch wheels without the TPMS. Has anyone done so? Will the dash go crazy and tell me that I have an error etc??? The reason is that it will be expensive and I will also have to go to Lexus for calibration... Then they can void my warranty etc... Anyone with experience, please share.

i believe the warning light on dash will light up. i am just not sure if there will be beeping noise

btw, if you want to use tps, just use the stock ones (take them out of stock wheels), then you don't need any calibration

exactly, just find a pair of rims that are TPMS compatiable... they are increasingly available now adays.
