Default First 600hL in Brookyln NY

My dealer (BayRidge Lexus) where I purchased my last 4 LS's called me on Friday and asked if I would like to see the first 600hL in NY. First I must say pictures do not do the car justice, it is MAGNIFICENT!!!!. It was black on black with chrome 18's and had the rear entertainment system. So after spending 30 minutes in the car going over all the features, he asked me if I was interested. I had a trade-in a Silver 2004 LS430 Ultra in excellent condition with 11,500 miles (yeah I know it is a weekend car) so I let him continue. After looking over my car he informed me that it was worth about $29K and he would have to wholesale it becuase he would be able to move it. To say I was insulted would be an under statement. Now I may not be an expert on trade-ins, but when I told him Edmunds and Kelly Blue appraised it higher he informed me that they are not reliable sources. I would appreciate your opinions on what you think me car is worth. Thank you

Dude, for 29K i would pick it up from you, but I'm sure you can get close to 40K for it.

I was quoted $28.5K for my 2002 LS430UL with 51K miles on it this weekend.

They're ripping you off.

.....when I told him Edmunds and Kelly Blue appraised it higher he informed me that they are not reliable sources.

Oh, and he is?!

Actually, I can't tell if that's a good trade in value since you didn't tell us the MSRP and the purchase price of the 600hL.

I also saw the 600h that you are speaking of. I must say that it is an extraordinary piece of machinery. I also have pictures of it if anyone is interested.

Which is why I always negotiate the two cars separately. The new car is worth what you can negotiate it down to, and the used car is worth whatever its condition/mileage/desirability dictates. The two have nothing to do with each other. Once you start mixing them, you're doomed.

The LS 600h L is an incredible machine, and fairly rare...definitely not trade with dealerships though, they usually give you a lower trade-in value than others.

The price of your car is higher even at the auction than what he's giving you! Does he think you are an idiot?!?! It's like offering $75K for a brand new LS600HL. Here is a screen print for your info...
