Adaptive Volume Control ( Select/Deselect)

Default Adaptive Volume Control ( Select/Deselect)

Sorry for my stupidity, at the Volume screen i am able to increase/decrease the volume by selecting a number from 0 to 7 and below there is a button "Adaptive Volume Control" May someone explain the use of that button and what differeneces does it make when its selected and deselected.

I believe it is a background noise-sensitive volume adjustment. When the vehicle exceeds a certain speed, the stereo volume will automatically increase to compensate for the added road noise.

The difference while noticeable, is very subtle. I wish the AVC was variable...
