Wallet Size Smart Card Key comes with the Executive Package for the 460L in Canada.
It's available with the 600hL in the U.S. too, so I think you should be able to order them seperately from parts department ?

I think it's a simple switching of the key housing. I won't know until I have one in hand...

I just called Lexus of Cerritos' Parts Department.

They quoted $441 for the Smart Card Key!!!

holy, 400 bucks for the key. man

I called Woodfield Lexus in Schaumburg, IL and they quoted me $245 per key plus about $50 to program it.
By the way, does anybody have a picture of both sides of the Smart Card Key?

I actually havent used it yet its for emergency cases i took some snaps of it

It must be fairly expensive from two perspectives:

1. The fob has a unique program.

2. The key cut is highly specialized.

well i dont know about you, but if i bought the car, i would buy the darn key. its just too cool. lol

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't see lock/unlock button on the Smart Card Key.

Just remind me why one would need this thing for $400.

I thinks that's why it's a "Smart" Card Key, for the proximity sensing remote entry and ignition system ...
