Default Treo 650 Bluetooth compatible???

First post over here with you Large Lexus owners....

I just picked up my 460 SWB and I have been trying to register my Treo 650 with the Bluetooth/Nav system.

The phone says the link is complete and the Bluetooth address shows up on the display, but it doesn't seem to complete the registration.

When I check the letstalk.com site, the no Treo is even listed. Can this be correct?? There are millions of these phones out there...

Thanks.

GW

What service provider are you using? If it's Verizon there may be issues:

Other users have registered the Treo 700 via Sprint...

Default Treo 650

I have the Treo 650 and it works flawlessly. PRESS INFO/ PHONE/ SETTINGS / SELECT PHONE (MAKE SURE "AUTO CONNECT" BUTTON IS LIT, THIS WAY IT WILL AUTO CONNECT EVERY TIME YOU START THE CAR). FIND YOUR PHONE (SHOULD ONLY BE 1, WE HAVE A FEW ON OURS) AND PRESS THE PHONE LISTED. Good luck!

Default One more thing...

I have AT&T service, but it shouldn't make any difference.

Make sure your phone is up to date and set your phone as a trusted device.

When the pairing process appears to hang up with the message you describe on the Nav screen, make a call using the Treo phone handset and it should work after that.

Default fixed!

Thanks for the replies.

The trick seemed to be making a call after the Treo said the link was complete. It kind of woke up the Lexus.

Now, has anyone been successful uploading their contacts?

While in Contacts choose the category you want to send, go to the Record drop down menu, Send Category, Choose Bluetooth then send. Before you do this you have to prepare the car to receive the info in the telephone settings ("Transfer Phonebook"). I believe that if you have multiple numbers listed for a given contact it will only send the first one.

The above works with my Verizon Treo 650.

I created a "Lexus" category in the Treo to selectively transfer the numbers I need in the car.
