should i get 20's or 22's? any pics with both? im thinking the 20s might look small or the 22's might have like no tire to them.

thanks!

There is a pic of type of 22'' rims on an LS here:

lol, then you should do 21s? honestly to me i wouldn't even consider 20s, they would look too small on the LS especially the lwb (the stock 18s are joke). i would do 22s. i have ridden in ls460l with 22s, the ride is awesome

It's really a matter of preference...I didn't like the look of a thin tire and think the 20's look just the right size on my car. I have the short wheel base. A lot depends on the rim as well...a more solid type of rim will give a bigger appearance (and more shiny if chromed) and tend to look a bit much (pimpish) in my opinion. Here are larger pics of my car so you can better see the proportion to the vehicle and the tire width with 20s and compare that to the other reply above w/ pics of the proportion and tire width of 22s to help you with your decision.

I prefer the 20's after looking at the pics, I like wheels to complement the cars, not be the focus that actually takes away from the car. 22's are just a little too much . . .

I like the look of yours acecert. The diameters of the wheel and tire complement the diameter of the wheel well. It doesn't look "forced" in as it does on some others. I'm not a fan of lots of spokes as they are high maintenance imho. I hate to spend more time on the wheels than on washing the car. Nice job on yours though.

I had the same concern about the spokes (maintenance). I'm very surprised however how easy these are to clean...they are far enough apart to wipe (unlike some thin spokes I have seen on other cars that are very close together) and a good 90% of the residue and dirt come right off when sprayed with a simple hose nozzle. The pics simply don't do the rims justice...they really do look much better in person and since they glisten (I normally would not have got chrome but with the chrome accents on this car I decided to do it to better tie it in with the vehicle and bring out the chrome accents) they deter from the brake disk much more than the pics suggest. There are now 2 other people with LS460s at my gym and both are now going to get the rims on my car after seeing them. I'm happy with them and like I said, it's just hard to get a real representation of of what they look like in picture format. I don't think if I"d seen these pics I would be sold but I was fortunate to see a silver LS just like mine with them on at the dealer prior to having mine installed. Like I said, I was concerned about the maintenance and haven't had much trouble at all with them. They shine even when they are dirty because the surface space is so small on the thinner spoke that it doesn't have much surface area to expose water spots, dirt spots, etc. Just for me, the stock rims didn't work...I didn't like the size or the design of them. The best part is that since Lexus is working with Forge-tec (Forge-tec.com) they will put the "L" logo on the wheels so that it still retains its OEM look as well.

The more I look at them, the nicer they look, especially the pic of the rear wheel in the shade. Cars always look better in the shade or at nightfall. Never thought I would consider it, but yours look exceptional. I imagine the spokes being slender also deter brake dustings as well.
