I heard from the grap vine an aftermarket company will make HIDs that look like the 600 to fit the 460. Might just be a rumor but if they do how many of you would change your lights?
I've yet to buy the 460 I'm waiting for the wind noise problem to be corrected and hopefully in 08 a change in wheel style.
If Lexus does not address the wind noise problem on the present LS460 than more than likely you will be paying more for a 2008 LS460 with the wind noise problem.
Just my opinion but I don't like the 600 head lights. BMW 7 had the same lights on their spy concept car and did not use them.
As far as wind noise I'm not worried about it. I'm sure Lexus is designing new weather striping for the door glass that will fix the problem. Should not be a big deal to retrofit.
Don't hold your breath on the wheel styles, Lex does not seem to innovative in that dept. I ordered mine with the touring package with the 19" wheels they look alittle better but I'm not blown away buy them. My guess is they will only offer what they have now. All the aftermarket companies I know are working on body kits/wheels etc for the 460 so that will be an alternative.
Even if Lex should come out with a "M" line like BMW or AMG like Benz they probably will only limit it to the smaller cars. I think the 460 demographic is still quite old at least that is what my dealer says.

On the surface that makes sense. The LS is a relatively low volume motor vehicle. To recover their investment, and make money on the cars, it is in their best interest to use and re-use subcomponents from year to year, and generation to generation.

Yeah. LS drivers are ultra-conservative. I can't think of anyone that wants/needs more power in the LS, although I can think of a lot of people that wants/needs better handling and performance.
The LS does not need bigger engine options. It just needs chassis tweakings...
yea, or at least a true "sport" mode for the adjustable air susp.
i was driven in my friend's dad's LS460 (at buttonwillow, his dad was doing a 911 event there) and the thing has LOADS of power but the suspension is ridiculously soft, i felt like the car was like a boat, leaning onto its doorhandles
the fact taht it had sticky summer tires on 20"s didnt help much
