Default Matrix Coating paint protection system?

This is a paint protection system that claims to stay forever and beads water, etc... Not to mention the deep glossy look and "no need to wax your car ever again".

Have you used this? If so, any comments?

I'll be very interested in your short and long term results.

No way, though, would I risk the finish of my new car on an unknown polish/wax process..

Good luck and post the results!

I agree with Helmar. Their claim seems unbelieveable. One application for $70 and you never have to wax/polish again? I don't think so.

I know several people who baby their Ferraris and Porches, and I know none of them use this product.

I would rethink this decision until you get some concrete info.

FWIW, a search on the Lamborghini and Ferrari boards revealed no mention of the product.

Use that information however you wish.

The only thing is that I did see this product applied on cars at the place and all of them looked incredible. Brand new Mercs and BMWs straight from the dealer at the new owner's request. It's a ceramic polymer, not a lot of people know about it because it's fairly new.

I'll give it a try only because I've seen other hi-end cars with it and I was very impressed on how deep the gloss was. Not only that, but the shop's owner sprayed water on top of one of the cars and the water simply wouldn't stay on the car. Impressive stuff.

Luxo, are you in the Seattle area, and if so is there a rep there you are dealing with?

I'm dealing with a detail shop called Metropolitan Detail. They work on all sorts of cars there, including hi-end. Porsches, BMWs, Mercs, etc...

Just got the car back with the Matrix Coating applied. It looks awesome, very deep gloss and very smooth. Now time will tell how it holds up to weather, bird crap, carwashes, etc...

I always used Zaino on other cars I had in the past and this Matrix Coating seems to be superior.

Sounds interesting. Sounds like that Diamond Fusion process that you apply to your windows (but I know that stuff actually works ). Skeptical about this one as it just seems weird how this works, but keep us updated. I really want to see how it holds up after a year of use.
