Initial Inspection at Dealer
My new 460 SWB is due to arrive in a few weeks. It's pretty well loaded (comfort pkg, ML&Nav, Dynamic Cruise Control, Lexus Link, trunk/door closers, intuitive parking assist). I know I'll be mucho excited when I pick it up, but I want to give it a careful inspection before I accept it from the dealer.
I'd like advice from current owners on what to be sure to inspect/try when it arrives.
Thanks!

^^ True, and also look for some easily removable marks on the trunk lid area if your car was in the showroom for a while. My dealer did an excellent job on getting the car completely sparkling and clean before delivery. Good service makes all the difference.
I always make sure that they don't affix any dealer badging. I've seen dealer badging attached with screws, although not on a Lexus.
If they want to screw a dealer license frame into the original holes, that's fine, as I can simply remove it.
Also, make sure the front floor mats are attached to the floor and not just laid on top.

On our inspection, my husband noticed a slashed back of driver seat, on bottom where the technician must have gotten exacto knife happy! Look over well and I would do in daylight. But, in case you have never owned a Lexus b4, they have always come thru for me as far as fixing, replacing, adjusting just about anything you desire. I think Lexus is excellent as far as customer satisfaction. jmho
One nice thing about Massachusetts is state law prohibits dealers from attaching their badging without the owners permission. They can attach license plate frames with their name, but those are easily removed.
It was funny whenever I bought my wife's Jag in for servicing, the dealer would put the plate frames on, front and rear. When I got it home I'd take them off. Next time it was serviced, on would go two new ones, and I'd remove them. I didn't get irritated. It was actually funny!
