Mark Levinson system is exceptional
I never thought I would use APG until I had it on my car. Now I use APG to back into tough spots in my underground parking garage. IMHO, compared with the overall cost for the car, APG is a very small amount that most people are willing to pay.
I guess those marketing types know how to package desirable features with other features that we would probably not have bought! In my case, their tactics worked!

Glad to hear it worked out for you. It's good to hear that the Advanced Parking Guidance System is applicable for some. Actually I think that if I had the system, I would use it all the time, but I only had a chance to try it once.
Mark Levinson is the ultimate, and we are so glad that we chose the ML package and associated backup camera, NAVI for our LS.
BTW, 2007es350, if you like you can PM DaveGS4 and get your username modified so that it reflects your new car. I had my username modified before, the same way. He's very accomodating.

I don't have advanced parking, just the camera and sensors in both front and rear bumpers. I don't know what package they had you buy in CA. Everyone asks me if my car parks it self. I have to tell them mine does not.

Out here in CA to get the ML in the SWB, the Comfort Plus package (powered back seat) and Advanced Parking are part of the required packages. Prior to purchase, I wasn't terribly happy to be forced to purchase these extra options. But now that I've had the car for a few weeks..... I really do enjoy all the extra options on this car.
I also can't complain about price because my dealer a really good deal on my LS460 because I had so many issues with my prior ES350 .... so many issues that Lexus Corp gave me a full refund on my ES350.

When the 2 outboard seats are in their upright positions, the back seat is just like a non-powered version...meaning that all 5 seats can be used comfortably. However, I think that the backseat center position can't be comfortable with the center tunnel on the floor and lack of headroom.

interesting...
joe..
Maybe I don't understand what you are asking. The Comfort Plus package has powered rear seats that provide seating for 5 passengers. The electronic adjustments are in the backseat center armrest. So you can pull down the center armrest, adjust your outboard rear seats; and put the armrest back up if you want to seat a 5th person.
