Default Some initial LS460 comments at 2 weeks

I have had my LS460 SWB BLK/BLK. NAV, ML Comfort Plus for 2 weeks.

Some initial comments:

Love the car, the smooth power, the Bluetooth implementation, the better voice recognition, the superb ML sound system and the hold feature on stop and go traffic.

Miss from the ’04 LS430: the larger coin holder, the more spacious and better design of the center console storage space, the extra space under the trunk matt around the spare where I could keep emergency battery cables (no room on the LS460). The shape (and space?) of the LS430 trunk.

Would like: Valet key without having to remove my key from the mechanical component (A key that would allow them to move the car but not open the trunk, play with the radio or go into any compartment) also would like memory for the passenger seat.

Mixed feelings on assisted parking. Nice to have, but probably will not use it other than for demo.

Two issues: A bit on wind noise (SWB) at higher speeds and the ANNOYING lock (grey out) on most screen functions when moving. I almost purchased a Mercedes S550 because of this and have friends that do not consider Lexus because of this. BMW, Mercedes, Audi & Acura do not lock their systems. I hope an override is found soon. I often used the override on the 430.

I'm glad you like the car. I too have the same concerns you have. I could use less wind noise and memory for the passenger seat. But those 2 things won't get me to buy a merc or bmw or audi because I want the car in my garage, not in the shop.

I just got my SWB last week with Nav, ML, and Comfort Plus too! I really love the car.

Yes, I noticed that the passenger seat doesn't have memory. I had the passenger seat memory on my ES350 and was surprised to see the lack of memory in the LS460.

I also notice the wind noise too. I'm hoping that Lexus will come out with a solution to bring down the wind noise.

How do you override the lock on the LS 430? I have a 06. That is the biggest falt I have with it. Thank you.
