When the LS was first coming out there was quite a bit of chatter about the Touring Package being available sometime in the summer, or at least a substantial period of time after the car's launch. Anyone heard any kind of update regarding this?

I'd probably go get a SWB Touring Package car right now if it was available. I just don't need (and don't really want it living in L.A.-it would be that much harder to park) the extra length of the L model.

Actually, there are 2 members(at least one) IIRC who have the Touring Package already & have posted pics here, but I think the Touring Package is only available in LWB for USA . . .

Sorry..I put SWB in the thread title, but not in my question. I meant to ask about the Touring Package on a SWB.

yeah, i think in the US you can only get the touring with lwb

Yup, that's correct. As of right now the Touring Package is only on SWB models. I was sure there was talk about the TP coming on the SWB a while after the launch. I guess I'm just pining for a SWB, white, TP LS...Oh well, I guess I might just have to "suffer" with a LWB.

No, only on LWB models.

Sucks to be you. LOL. I don't think the extra, what, 4" is going to make driving that much more difficult. But I totally agree it's ridiculous they don't offer TP with SWB!

Yes & I think SWB with TP is available outside of N.America too, but I prefer the looks of the LWB anyway, so it's OK with me
