No exagurating, I see at least 3 commercials on the LS460 every day. Why so many commercials when their stock is so limited? I知 in the buying mood and really want the LS460 but cant find the car I want. I知 really considering the BWM7 series at this point.

Answer: To keep their stock very limited. They want to keep the lists as long as possible to maximize profit for as long as possible.

Don't even consider the 7 as they are soon changing the model. Do what I am doing and patiently wait for the LS and get on the list for the redesigned 7 series ('09 model year to be delivered in the fall of '08). Then you will have the best of both worlds!

it is just first month of sales... you want major new introduction to be available easily in first month? That would mean bad product :-).

 

The commercials are for the Lexus brand image, not necessarily for selling more LS460s. The same applies to those GS450h commercials.

 

They are really pushing it, there are billboards all over Houston with the new LS on it.

 

yeah it's about building their image i think. i am sure they don't mind seeing crowded dealerships and people asking about the new LS and putting down deposits

 

They are trying to create such hype around it so everyone is excited about (which is working well). It also helps for those people who were waivering as they are more prone to getting one.

Lexus has one time in X amount of years to introduce their all new flagship so they are making the most of this opportunity.

It is a pattern with these folks.

I purchased my IS 350 last year and there was very little inventory to be had.
In the end my car came from an out of market dealer and was flatbedded to my house.

I see that you are in FL. Have you called JM Lexus to see if you can buy an allocated car that may be on the boat or will ship in the near future?
