I just picked up my LS460 today and paid full price of $72901 in Chicago. Discounts here will begin by next summer, but now there is a large backlog of wealthy, willing full sticker payers.

No discounts for I'd bet 6 months, why? because of the high demand the LS460 is getting. This is one heck of a nice car I deal with JM Lexus who in my opinion are the best dealers I've ever delt with, allways treated me with the highest respect no matter if I was buying the old 250 (which was my first Lexus lol) or a new SC. They took the time to show me how many cars they have allready sold and its alot!. So, like I said no discount for a long time...

Agree with Gs430...JM Lexus is THE dealer in the Southeast. We use to have a salesman call us annually to trade our cars in and get the next years version just for the hell of it. No extra cost....

Even at retail, you're getting a car that is better quality than cars costing much more. Its gonna hold its value. It's got the status of Lexus. Its gonna kiss your butt everytime you turn the key. Live it.
PS..Take reaallly good care of them...I'll be waiting at the end of the lease.

I think Lexus dealers are forbidden from marking up over MSRP on any car, best they can do is to option out their allocations with Nav/ML/Comfort etc. I really doubt anyones going to get a discount, local dealer probably has close to 200 people on a wait list for the LS and this dealer is 1 of 4 dealers in the houston area. No dealer has the need to discount on a such a hot and demanded vehicle. Lexus making stunning cars that sell out quickly for MSRP is going to make dealers very profitable and of course they love that

Getting a $5500 discount for a 07 when the 08 comes out in Nov.or Dec 07 is like getting no discount at all LOL, the car will be already like one year old even if it has less than 10 miles on the odom. . . . . . . .
