New LS in Canada
I phoned Lexus of Canada today to find out the release date for the new LS (because they haven't updated their site with the pricing yet) and apparently it's the end of November or beggining of December. The lady I was speaking with said the marketing campaign had already begun but no sales date was finalized. What's up with that? Anybody have some more information as to why we're so far behind?

I live in Calgary, and the sales rep told me that, if my memoery serves me correctly, that the LS will be made available in the start of Nov. I think one of the reasons for Ontario's delayed launch is becuz you guys are in the east coast. The cars are dropped off @ port of vancouver i think..then they are transported via train to the east side of canada.

From what I've heard, the cars already arrived in the west coast at least a couple weeks ago but they are hiding them from everyone including the dealers, & they won't get their sales training until next week . . .

Even if it's true, I don't think I have to put a deposit now. The 2002 SC430 was launched initially with a one year waiting list, but when I get my 2003 model, there was no wait at all after the initial demand craze was satisfied, unless there's a particular color combination you want that you can't find in any dealer. Even then you only have to wait 3 months max. if they have to order one for you . . .
