Default New LS in Canada

I phoned Lexus of Canada today to find out the release date for the new LS (because they haven't updated their site with the pricing yet) and apparently it's the end of November or beggining of December. The lady I was speaking with said the marketing campaign had already begun but no sales date was finalized. What's up with that? Anybody have some more information as to why we're so far behind?

I live in Calgary, and the sales rep told me that, if my memoery serves me correctly, that the LS will be made available in the start of Nov. I think one of the reasons for Ontario's delayed launch is becuz you guys are in the east coast. The cars are dropped off @ port of vancouver i think..then they are transported via train to the east side of canada.

From what I've heard, the cars already arrived in the west coast at least a couple weeks ago but they are hiding them from everyone including the dealers, & they won't get their sales training until next week . . .

I also heard November. Same dealer told me that it is a one year wait if you order today.

The "Official" Canadian launch for the LS460 and LS460L is November 8th.

Where do you live? Your profile says Michigan. I hope it's not a year wait; the S Class didn't have a wait like that - is there really that much demand?

My dealer also thinks that November 8th would be the launch date for Canada.

Really ? I hope that doesn't mean I have to order now if I want to get 2008 MY

Even if it's true, I don't think I have to put a deposit now. The 2002 SC430 was launched initially with a one year waiting list, but when I get my 2003 model, there was no wait at all after the initial demand craze was satisfied, unless there's a particular color combination you want that you can't find in any dealer. Even then you only have to wait 3 months max. if they have to order one for you . . .
