Default Keeping Nav screen clean

My new LS will have a nav screen and with my obsessive compulsive personality I was worried that the finger prints on the screen may drive me nuts.

So it was a great relief to hear that this is not a big issue and that regular cleaning is all that is needed.

As I do a bit more than 'regular' cleaning of my car now, finger prints will not be worry. Thank you Helmar.

#2: I was very thrilled for lexus not following the i-drive.
I'm not tech-retarded but give me the touchscreen any day.

Maybe the joystick that the new X5 will have might be neat?

As for the smudge on the screen? I don't know how dirty your fingers are but my screen is not dirty at all...even after typing the destinations, setting the temp. speed, doing the nav-bypass..., it's not dirty

Do you guys have peanut butter on your finger or something

The only gripe is the "I agree" button that I placed a clear screen protector over
And voice recognition is weak compared to the bmw and mb, but doesn't bother me.

A clear plastic protector over the 'I agree' area is a brilliant idea.

Of course living in Canada, I will be wearing gloves during the winter months. Yes, I plan to use the new LS as much as possible during the winter with snow tires.

I am assuming the 460 will be handling better then my current 430 in the snow. I will update you on this in a few months!

Ah, yes, I forgot about the voice recognition.

The BMW voice recognition is far superior to Lexus. The BMW recognizes what I say about 95% of the time, while with the Lexus, it was barely 5%.

In fact, in the BMW, the only thing that makes the i-Drive tolerable is that the voice recognition system is so good, I often don't have to use the i-Drive.
