Ok, so who's the wise-guy that started the Sept. 15 price rumors that didn't pan out? My dealer told me right from the get-go that they wouldn't know the pricing until probably the week of the cars launch.

But then all the hype started about Sept. 15 and I thought maybe they were going to spill the beans earlier. I figured since this car has more available options than other Lexus models, they wanted to give everyone a heads up on the price. Well, it looks like we figured wrong.

No worries for me though, I'm going to drive an LS on Sunday and buy one as soon as my number comes up on the waiting list.

Does anyone really know the genesis of the Spt. 15 rumor?

 

Yea. I was waiting for Lexus.com to launch a press release about the launch of the LS460.

Another example of why you can't always trust what a dealer/car salesperson tell you ?

 

if anything, prices are available to dealerships on 9/15, NOT on lexus website. the car will be launch on 10/19 or so (forgot), that's the time you see prices on lexus homepage. i know for a fact that prices have reached the dealerships already, whether those news got leaked out, that's another story
