Arrow LS 460 on Motorweek

According to this schedule, the LS 460 will appear in broadcasts of episode 2550 of Motorweek.

I don't get that show, has anyone seen it?

I just saw it today, so it must have been a rerun. The show was very complimentary, especially on the technology aspect of the car. And surprise, no mention of intrusive technologies such as VDIM. In fact, they said the technology did not overwhelm the driver.

Yes it was a very positive review. It is in the Motorweek show that largely deals with the Detroit Auto Show. That's what's in the TV listings which didn't mention the LS so you wouldn't automatically know it was part of that show. It was on this prior week but maybe there will be further reruns. Its on Speed channel and also PBS so look for it both places.

Thx for the summary, here in SoCal only the digital channels carry Motorweek, so I won't be able to see it. But it was good to hear.

Motorweek has always been a PBS program. The local PBS station here in the IE features it regularly along with the digital cable channels.

The MotorWeek review was very positive. Some of the things said about the car were:

Perhaps the most technologically advanced car in the world
Too numerous to mention intelligent vehicle features
(List of all the tech features appeared at bottom of screen)
APGS (with actual demo). Younger staffers caught on to the self park quickly.
Styling was admired. Stunning crystal lights.
Cuddles the passengers with a cozy seating and more open airy feeling above the belt line
Engine size, HP and Torque
Silky ultra efficient cardom's first eight speed automatic
0 to 60 5.8 sec
Quarter mile 14.3 sec at 103 mph
Well mannered ride, balanced with impressivey responsive handling
Respectable 23 mpg
Energy impact score of 15.6 barrels per year bettering the bigger sedans from Mercerdes, BMW and Audi
Beats competitors on price too
2007 LS 460 is a high tech tour de force...technology serves to enhance the driving experience without overwhelming it. To us that is their greatest achievement.

Although probably 90% of LS460 owners won't push their cars to the limit, one of the things that I've heard the most about the new LS is that it is not as fast as Lexus said it was.

Very respectable times, considering that Motorweek usually gets some of the slower times on their tests.

Thx for the extra details. I am one of those 'younger' drivers that finds the APGS to be fine, I was in the car when it was tested, and it looks pretty easy (of course I was told you still need lots of practice).

The LS has now reached a significant number, here in Southern Cali at least, I see a different one each day this week for the first time.

Saw my first here in New York and he had dealer plates. It was a black LS460. I tried to pull up along side but too much traffic and then I got to my stop.

hehe, one of the ls460s i saw was on the freeway. i was in my gs400 (already much faster than most gs400 out there), and that thing just kept on pulling in and out of traffic (very light traffic) on the fast lane. not that i was really racing, but i knew if i had to catch up i would have to try very hard.

damn, what a sweet car

MotorWeek did not mention the brake distances and infact made no reference to the brakes at all.
