Aisin Strut vs KYB?
2014 LS 460 AWD. I understand Lexus OEM is best, followed by KYB. I also understand that just about every other aftermarket coil assembly stinks. The AWD front shock swap is tricky and I don't feel like taking it on myself. Anyone heard of or used the Aisin Strut assemblies? Part # is SAKT-01241 for $300/pair.
Since Aisin is OEM for other Lexus parts and are usually very high quality, I thought they may be decent. I'm hoping to hear from someone who actually tried these.

Aisin is a reputable Tier 1, similar to KYB, Sachs and Bilstein. I don't have experience with their struts, but based on reputation alone I would use them. The price is great, the KYB shocks I bought for my 2007 LS460 were about $140ea. And more importantly, they look legit on Amazon, where you can easily see fakes.
If you use them, please let us know how you like them. I am also curious to see where they are made, the KYBs are made in Japan.

Agreed. I'm going to give them a try. Excited to have found these. I'm still the skeptic though and will see how they do during the return period. I love Aisin parts, but It seems like many part manufacturers branch out to make parts they are not experts in, simply for profit. These aren't "too" cheap, so again hoping they perform well and give KYB a run for the money. Maybe this will push KYB to finally make a strut assembly for our cars. I'll report back pn where they are manufactured when I get them this weekend.
