Code P2610
New member here, with a 2007 Lexus 460. I just bought the car from a relative. I just finished replacing both high-pressure fuel pump gaskets on the valve cover, when I got this code. The relative said the code came on for him too, so I don't think it has anything to do with my repairs.
I searched the forums and tried the usual remedies (gas cap, check battery voltage, tighten the cables, etc., although I do not see how these can cause the code). The most plausible cause seems to be an ECU internal problem that requires replacement of the ECU (ouch).
I have a Foxwell 530 scanner and can observe live data if needed. I also saved freeze frame data, if someone knows what I should look at.
Is it really the ECU or are there other things to try? Would Techstream give me more clues?

The service manual says there is no diagnostic procedure. P2610 refers to internal ecu error, the remedy is to replace the ECU

However, here's a thread that indicates a low battery could cause this

Thanks, I saw both of those (that's what I meant when I said I checked battery voltage). I was hoping that someone had more options that I could try. The manual also suggests checking the wiring.
I will try removing/cleaning/reseating the connectors on the ECU and see if that helps.
