Was driving casually otw back home then suddenly my LS went into limp mode. CEL turned on and traction control light. Couldn't accelerate, rpm stayed between 500-1000. I was able to move over to the side of the road w hazards when I released the brake. Scanned codes and got P0121 (Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch 'A' Circuit Range/ Performance)
Not too long ago some meanie tried to break into my car, cracked the driver side window but didnt shatter, thank god for laminated windows Lexus! After the window was replaced the CEL turned off. Its been a week and it hasn't turned on since. Plugged in OBD and shows P0121 is a confirmed code until I delete it.
One issue I'm constantly having is my LS has been leaking coolant somewhere. Found coolant leaking at thermostat, replaced that at a shop. But coolant still running low every few months.
Might anyone have some insight on this matter? Thank you!
It is, check the throttle body connector. Often people brake the connector body and don't replace it; if the connector is not seated properly because it is damaged, it can cause throttle position sensor errors.
