Would you mind sharing how to get tech stream and which Windows OS works with it. Also, a link to where a good cable could be purchased would be awesome.
I bought a cable off of eBay and just couldn't get the driver to recognize the cable, along with not having any luck on finding a workable version of tech stream. It's pretty frustrating.

). It is expensive but works like a charm. I believe there are much cheaper cables out there. Just make sure that the cable you buying is working with Toyota. Some features might not work with universal cable. Techstream I found on Etsy few years ago. I have V17 and it works for me just fine, but they also have V18 there as well. I have Techstream installed on my old laptop with Windows 10, but it should run OK on just about anything.

I advise reviewing the information in this video...I found it very helpful.
It's hard to advise on what to do... but this model is already aging and finding one "perfect" is going to be more of a challenge. At 13k for purchase, and I don't know your budget, but that is nothing. For me, YES, spending some more to get it right is worth it. Replace brake actuator will more than likely fix your issue. This is a model that is no longer made and this V8 engine is beautiful. You also have an L, which is hard or impossible to find. This purchase was to buy a "classic" and "rare" car.. yes in quotes because it's not a collectible but this car is unique. If this vehicle was for a tool, then sell it and get a Camry. If this was purchased solely to enjoy and was more of a want vs need... then put the money in it. Especially if the interior and rest of car is in great condition. You bought a used car, 12 years old with high mileage - you can expect the vehicle to need maintenance. Enjoy it!
Hello All - Again thank you to everyone for the feedback and help! My brake parts came in today and I spent the better part of the day replacing the pads and rotors on all 4 corners. When done I started the process to flush the old brake fluid. I will have an update here shortly.
Awesome, Jefthim can you post the images from the brake job yet?
It was my first time to have the car up in the air so I took quite a few for me to review and examine, but it looks incredibly clean for a car with 158,000 miles. I'm happy to say the the brakes are done and the flush is complete with no DTCs in the ECU. The fluid was very very dirty.

I agree with what you're saying, and I did expect that I was going to have to spend some money on it. I was just overwhelmed with the possible brake expense along with a concern that the air recirculation was broken. Both have been addressed to the best of my mechanical skills. I feel good about the air servo fix...I'll just have to wait and see if the brake flush did the job. This car was more of a want than need so we are going to roll the dice and see if I'm good to move on to the cosmetic stuff I want to do. Thank you again for your feedback!

Well....after the flush only a day has passed and I have the following to share
:
Yeah, the actuator is toast. You can get the entire assembly through Bell Lexus on ebay for around $1,000. replacement is pretty straightforward if you have techstream.
I took it to the dealership and they are recommending replacement of the actuator and the fuse panel. They have to order parts and saying it could take 4 days to get the parts in. I'll update after I get the car back.
