Default Lexus Service

I have a 2011 LS460, that I want to get 2 things done:
- The Driver's seat goes Too far back when exiting the car. I want the rear ward travel shortemed.
- I want Remote Start.

So I stopped by the Dublin Lexus service shop, and was told the following:
- Seat travel is fixed. (The owner's says it Can be adjusted at the Dealer.)
- Remote Start - "You gotta have a module, maybe after market."????

The service rep had me on the Remote Start. I'm not that familiar with Lexus remote starters.
I sure would appreciate some advice on these issues.

Follow the flow on these pictures and don't forget to save on the last step, you have to go with an aftermarket remote start. This is from the in car settings on my 2013 but it should be the same for yours

Hello. As far as the remote starter, you do have to go aftermarket.
I installed one of these on my 2012 LS460L and LOVE it!
Amazon Amazon

They have different models. I bought the 4-button long range one. It starts my car from inside my office building. I installed it myself. Most of the time was spent taking the dash apart to get to the wires. I soldered all the connections. I worked really slow and it took me about 4 hrs. The instructions were great and programming it took a few seconds.
