Default Dealer Experience/Recommendations/Contacts So Fla

Hi everyone,

An unexpected issue surfaced yesterday with the LS, and I may need to stop by a dealership. I am still relatively new to FL and have not yet tried any of the local dealerships. I have handled routine maintenance at a reputable indy.

Like many of us on CL, I am very particular about my car. In spite of its age (2010), it's meticulously cared for (as you've seen in pics when it's actually clean!) and still hasn't cracked 50k miles. I was spoiled by my dealer up north (Lexus of Northborough), dealing with the Diagnostic Specialist who exclusively worked on my car and was very detail oriented and careful (in addition to being with the brand since day one).

Given this, the thought of "starting over" - potentially at a large dealership, where it can be like a production line - has always given me pause. But, I probably have to and wonder of any specific recommendations on dealerships (and ideally a contact - service mgr., etc.) that any of you may have.

I normally establish long-term relationships with businesses (especially when it comes to cars). I basically will go to dealer X, speak with persons Y and Z and get to know folks. In turn, they appreciate my Lexus fan-dom, do great work, and we're all happy. This is why would prefer to make contact with someone and discuss my issue with the dealer beforehand rather than showing up as another "number" during a typical crazy morning.

Thank you in advance! Being in Palm Beach County I guess Lexus of Palm Beach, JM Lexus and Treasure Coast would be the main choices, but I'm open to suggestions.

P.S. Based on color (brownish), smell (reminiscent of gear oil in a machine shop) and where I see grease underneath the car, I think I may have a leaky transfer case...

There a ISF member Nick Ensey thats a Salesman at Lexus of Pembroke pines. Pretty active in the forums on FB. Maybe reach out to him and ask. If you were on west coast I could recommend a Lexus shop that my buddy works at. Lexpert Auto in Bonita springs. They take care of all my past Lexus and current ones. Good luck.
