2017 LS 460 Midnight Edition (new to me)
I understand the warranty. It is plug-n-play, no splicing or anything. It does take an hour to put in but it is not anything that is known to cause issues. They sell a lot of these for Lexus vehicles since Lexus is always a few years behind what it desired from the consumers when it comes to this type of tech.
Had the Beatsonic in my old GX and liked it quite a bit. Put the GROM in my LS F-Sport & love it. Drove my wife’s GX to Kansas two weeks ago without either, just factory nav and was hating life. Life is too short to not have an awesome nav experience!

That’s amazing! I have to assume that’s WITHOUT A/C. I’ve been largely unable to get over 28mpg when doing a consistent 75-80mph for 20 minutes or more regardless of whether I’min ECO or normal mode. At 75mph+, without A/C I’ll get 26-27 mph. When I do get close to your level of economy (for 20, 30 minutes or more), it’s only when the A/C is OFF (which barely happened in July) and even then it’s when doing 65-70mph. Tires are inflated to 34psi cold and I know how to hypermile.
I suppose I could ask a Carmax service rep whether or not adding a Grom (or like system) will void their warranty, but I don’t think I’d trust their word and will likely keep puttering along with my iPhone/Waze.
Every time I start my 2017 LS, the NAV screen pops up and the first thing I do is press menu then change this apparently default nav screen (2/3 of the width of the screen on the left) to a fuel economy screen. The 1/3 of the screen on the right is kept at A/C. I’ve had my LS for over a month and I’ve yet to discern whether or not there’s a way to change the default Nav screen that appears every time I start the car - regardless of whether the “AUTO SCREEN CHANGE” is set to “ON” or “OFF” as other posters have suggested is the culprit. I’ve tried both several times and after changing the nav or a fuel economy screen and then turned off the car, the nav screw pops back up on the next startup 100% of the time. Again, this occurs regardless of whether AUTO SCREEN CHANGE is set to “on” or “off”. I want to never see the nav screen unless I summon it. Is it even possible to have the default screen be set to fuel Econ on the left and a/c (or music or media) on the right? Please help. Thanks in advance for any help or input.
