Default Cylinder 8 misfire LS460

Hello everyone, this is my first post on here and I’m really hoping someone out there has some answers/alternatives for this issue. I have a 2007 LS460 L and recently I just changed my valve cover gaskets, fuel pump gaskets and spark plugs. Now my car is having a misfire in cylinder 8 it says and is throwing the codes P0308 (cylinder 8 misfire) and P127D (port injector circuit #8). Also now the VSC system check keeps popping up. I took it by to autozone as well to get a second opinion with their scanner and the guy recommended to me that it was most likely my fuel injector in that area that needs replacing. So far I just used the fuel injector cleaner you mix in with gas but still no help. If there’s any tips or advice that would be very much appreciated. I already saw how much parts cost and am not looking forward to seeing how much the labor is going to cost as well. So whatever I could do to not fork over all my money, would be a blessing. Thank you for your time!

There’s a chance your issue is related to the work you have had done, how long ago was the repair and did you talk to the shop that worked on it about your problem?

I just went yesterday (5/7) to pick up the car. Also, the work was done by a family friend.

Not knowing all the details I would first clear the codes and see if they return, #8 cylinder is the tightest coil pack / spark plug to get to so something might have gone wrong there.
I wouldn't worry about the injector code right now and the vsc code will sometimes display with other codes seemingly to get you to take things more seriously, the pump seals you had replaced are for the direct injectors so less of chance they have anything to do with your problem.

Your friend must have some experience doing this type of work so he may be your best bet to finding out what's wrong, good luck.

Yeah I did also clear the codes, but as soon as I turned the car on the codes popped back up within a couple minutes. But I’ll look around the area for any suspecting problems. And yes I’ll definitely keep in contact with them. Thank you for your time.

You could swap #8 coil pak to another cyl and see if the code follows it.
