Default Brake Rattle

Good Evening,

I just changed out my brake pads and rotors, my brakes rattle even over the smallest bumps. I have 2014 Fsport with brembo calipers. Does anyone have a photo of how the anti rattle clips are installed? Idk if I installed them wrong or they may be faulty

btw they do not rattle when I press the brakes medium pressure to full pressure. I’m running power stop Z26 carbon pads

Mine's a 13 but should be the same, I looked at those Z26 pads on RA and the hardware looked different than mine ?

They look big to me no matter how many times I see them haha

the hardware included looked weird and missing a few hardware pieces. - I ordered a new set of hardware to see if it’s the clips or the actual pads because they have a steel backplate or they just don’t sit snug enough

btw I’ve yet to get to it.
I decided to change the oil first with car up on jacks and the oil filter broke without me knowing and all 7-10 quarts leaked onto my driveway smh - turned car off soon as I saw low oil pressure light!
changed it out to an aluminum built filter housing

Cracked at single prong of the filter housing

Brand new oil :-/

Sheety about the oil, I didn't like the plastic housing either and swapped it out too.

I checked the pads and hardware look and feel tight when I pry at them. There is a slight squeak ongoing when I drive at 5-10mph. Could the rotors be loose? This all happened after the brake job I had done

The rotors are clamped in by the wheel so they're probably not loose, if the calipers are working properly the pads and shims should be tight also. Did you check the caliper mounting bolts? How did you bleed the brakes?

caliper seems tight, I replaced the mounting bolts because of getting them powder coated. Is there a washer that goes between the calipers and the mounting bolt or mounting surface?

I haven't taken mine off yet but usually the washer is built into the bolt, Did you bleed the brakes?

yes with techstream. Sounds like something is loose as per the rattle noise but everything feels firm

If the rattle goes away when you apply the brakes then it might rattle when it's on jack stands with the wheels off and you take a rubber hammer to the solid areas around the hub and caliper?? If it rattles when you are moving you "should" be able to replicate the noise when it's stationary on stands, that's all I got man.
