Default Steering wheel leather worn

Hello,
My steering wheel leather is starting to wear away and fade. At first I thought it just needed a good cleaning but no, the actual finish is wearing off. Do any of you know of a shop that will re-wrap the steering wheel with an equivalent leather? I don't mind pulling the wheel and shipping it out.
Thanks

I'll post pictures once i find them. 6 months ago I used "sticky dash fix" paint on mine. The steering wheel went from looking like you could catch an std to almost looking like new.

The paint matched perfectly. It doesn't show any signs of failing either. I did not have any luck with sticky dash fix" improving my dash stickiness but the wheel it did wonders on.

Every person who does auto reupholstery does things their own way. You can show them a photo and ask, but it'll always be slightly different. There are some craftsmen out there, you just have to look on Yelp for starters for a few near you. Another option is a used steering wheel for an exact match. There are several on eBay under $120. At least it can be returned if not as described. Can't do that with upholstery repair. Best wishes in your decision.

I don't mean to hijack, but is it possible to swap a steering wheel from another model Lexus like an IS ?? I don't recall seeing anyone on this forum having done this.

The control buttons panel will be another story. Connectors and functions may not match.

Check out: Craft Customs

They seem to do good work. Good luck.

Hey guys, this post was moved here (and appropriately so)

What can be done to get the shine OFF of the leather portion of the wheel, and it appears that the dye has worn off my wheel in spots as well.

Do I need to have the wheel re-wrapped by a trim shop?

Just in case anyone from Australia ends up searching this topic here is a link to an Australian supplier
(East Coast Caves Beach NSW post code 2281) that has been given a good review:
