Planning to use BG44k in my 2011 will 80k miles. Any opinions? Never ran Chevron fuel system cleaner in mine but this 11 LS460 is a recent acquisition and city/highway is 16/22 but want to make sure I keep them in good health.
I heard there is 80k fuel induction dealer service but hoping to run this BG44k in mine. Thoughts?
I think it's snake oil but lots of people swear by it, shops that sell their products have incentives for the techs to move as much as they can. I don't think any of those products have any benefits that can be proven, like wearing copper bracelets or carrying crystals in your pockets.
I recently ran it in a tank of gas on my 62k car. I usually run Techron annually. Couldn't tell any difference. Research synopsis is any product with PEA is a good fuel system cleaner. No indication that a high percentage of PEA works any better. This leads me to plan trying a sub $10 cleaner next time.
When I first purchased my new to me 2011 AWD I performed an oil change with TGMO and BG EPR + put a can of Platinum 44K in the tank. I was pleased with how the engine ran with these products, but also can't say I noticed a marked difference between these and other similar quality additive products. I notice more of a difference (smooths out idle and seems a bit quieter at least to me) after spraying a can of CRC's PEA GDI cleaner through the intake which I've done twice a year.
I use Shell V Power Nitro+ 93 Octane in my 3 cars and motorcycle and my wife puts it in her Panamera. I'd never put any additive in my tank. Not that it would be harmful, just that it wouldn't do any good than using a premium gasoline. Not to mention it would be a waste of money if you are using a quality premium gas.

It's a recent acquisition, so I just put redline today hoping it could help, if anything.
