Default Help with mirror cover

Good evening. My wife's 2014 ls460 liquid platinum (silver as I didn't know was called liquid platinum) the drivers side mirror began to flake and peel. Could anyone point me to a painted replacement? I found this one however I don't know if it's already painted ready to go. Any help is appreciated.https://www.discountpartsmonster.com/oem-parts/lexus-mirror-cover-8794a50660b1?origin=pla

Parts specific to your car should be verified against the VIN number. Call your dealer and verify the part number against the VIN. Once, you get a confirmation or a correct part number, you can go ahead and get it.

You should email parts monster and ask if it's an exact color match. I googled the part number and it's called sonic silver on other sites. Use their search engine for the right color, it's called platinum. The answer will be in writing thus covering a return in case of a miscommunication. Seems a good price.

This is a bit of a mystery because (using part# 8794A-50660-B1) some parts sites state Platinum and some Sonic Silver. However, the 2014 Lexus LS460 brochure (US) states Liquid Platinum" while the brochure I found from Europe states "Sonic Silver" (both attached at bottom). On a positive note, my research found that both paint codes are 1J2, and you could verify by inspecting the driver's side door jamb certification label.

Parts sites "Platinum":
2013-2017 Lexus Mirror Cover 8794A-50660-B1 | Genuine Lexus Parts (lexusstevenscreek.com)

Parts sites "Sonic Silver":

Lexus LS 460 Door Mirror Cover (Left). SONIC SILVER - 8794A50660B1 | Bell Lexus North Scottsdale, Scottsdale AZ

And lastly, just to reiterate the confusion (from a Lexus dealer site no less), different parts with different color name but having same paint code number:

Lexus LS 460 Door Edge Guards, Liquid Platinum - PT9365013001 | Prestige Lexus, Ramsey NJ

I recently replaced my 2014's passenger-side mirror cover as the black piece behind the mirror glass had cracked on the outside. I did notice the "sonic silver" vs "liquid platinum" difference myself and figured I'd just trust the 1J2 code and also confirm coloring before install. (Also worst case scenario for me: I only really needed one of the three pieces so I could've kept my original body-color outer part if needed)

When it arrived, it was a perfect color match, and I ended up just replacing all 3 cover pieces (outer body color, inner black, lower chrome) since the outer silver part had a few small scratches and I had a brand new part.

Install was pretty simple, with the hardest part being a careful removal of the mirror glass to gain access to the 5 screws holding the cover together (though as I write this I remember having some difficulty reattaching the glass as well). For fitting the cover pieces together it's nice that you'll have the original at hand; I certainly used my original pieces a few times to verify that I was clipping things together properly. I will note that when reassembling, do be sure that the small white puddle lamp housing is properly in place (I think it clips into part of the cover? My memory is slightly hazy). At first I didn't have it 100% situated and because of that I couldn't quite close the gaps in the cover pieces. Luckily I noticed and fixed the positioning before trying to screw everything down harder and potentially causing damage.

Looks like the part number you linked is correct. I had to go to the mirror assembly diagram on parts.lexus.com to confirm, as I had ordered a passenger-side mirror, but if I search for your part number and the one I ordered they both show up there as "USF4# SONIC SILVER,1J2" covers, just lefthand vs righthand side.
